Just Ask

You never know what could happen if you just ask.

Shannon of The Spun Monkey is asking for help in getting her dream business off the ground. You can read all about the future Spun Monkey Dyeworks and Lounge here.

Jennifer of The Prairie Girl asked if I'd be willing to trade for a pair of my earrings. She's a crafty one, that Jennifer, so I opted for a surprise. Look what I received in return for my girls

But asking isn't always easy, I know.

I have put a few requests out there to the universe, and I'm going to patiently wait to see what comes of them. In the meantime, I have asked myself to please resume my yoga practice before I turn into the tin man. I have  a strong feeling the answer is going to be an enthusiastic "yes."

Have you asked for anything lately?

  3. My friend Suzy always says,"Just ask! It doesn't hurt anything." I ask all the time. Just ask, it doesn't hurt anything. Have fun at yoga. I've started going back to the gym this week.

  5. I'm not good at asking at all!
I just spent two days at my sister's who is an ex-esthetician and still has all the tools for a killer manicure and pedicure - I didn't ask!
She didn't offer. I am so bummed..... ;(
(for the record, prior to me coming over she did say 'when you come over we'll do a pedi and mani' what's the deal?
    Should I have asked??? ; ~

  6. Dearest sweet amy, so so true to just ask for we never know what will be the end result. Asking doesn't come easy...but i always give myself a little push to ask away. That is such a beautiful trade! :) Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!

  8. I am asking the universe for a baby with a smaller than average head circumference. But still within range. Is that selfish?

  14. Gorgeous bags and I love the hooks they are on. I have been asking (the powers that be?) for some serious guidance with how to gently handle and help a stressed 6 year old.

  15. i had the hardest time asking for anything for years. then i realized that if i didn't ask, i wouldn't get what i wanted. i also remind myself (and my children) that when a question is asked, no is an answer. and no is OK.

if you want to trade sometime, just ask me. i'll definitely say yes. just sayin'.

  16. Asking when I have needed has got me through the first four years of motherhood. Being able to ask for help has been my salvation. Now, as for asking for cheeky nice things.....! xx

  17. I didn't ask myself, but I did get asked this week to do a really great trade that is going to land a couple of my animals in the Quilt Market display of a fabric designer I love. Might be just exciting enough to get me out of my super duper winter-long sewing slump.
